Their are three main types of immigrants economic, family, and refugee, in the economic column their are skilled workers, economic, and business the main type of immigrant Canada wants right now is mainly skilled workers because of lack of them we have to support our big businesses. Canada is called the land of immigrants because of millions of them living here 97% of canada's population are either immigrants or descendants of immigrants.their are push + pull factors also intervening obstacles, push factors are a issue that motivates one to leave it's country could be because of religious persecution, natural disaster, lack of freedom, war, and much more, pull factors are a aspect of a country that pulls people in like more freedom, no war, any religion allowed, and more, intervening obstacles are obstacles that get in your way and make it harder for you to travel to your destination some examples are travel cost, to far from family, do not meet required requirements to enter the country, and much more. Why do people move, they move when their push + pull is greater than their intervening obstacle.
